Regina Mänd is a versatile folk musician, violinist, teacher, and composer, inspired both by the authentic and honest playing style of village fiddlers from centuries past and by the spontaneous sparks and moments of recognition that emerge in cross-genre collaborations.
She graduated from the World Music Department of the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg and has performed in ensembles such as Duo Mänd/Krüsban, LØYLY Orchestra, and Duo Regina Mänd & Andreas Krambias. At the 2025 National Folk Music Festival, Regina worked as the section leader for violins.
Her most active current projects include reginamandness – a folk-fusion project featuring her original compositions – an audiovisual solo project focused on the fiddle music heritage of her home region, Pärnumaa, and her work as a teacher.
