Dreamily fusion-like and rawly danceable, reginamandness is Regina Mänd’s original music project that explores the sense of home and belonging or its absence — through music, creating contemporary folk.

Having lived and studied abroad for many years, Regina’s compositions are influenced not only by Estonian folk music but also by the experiences and sounds she encountered and grew to love elsewhere. The result is a kaleidoscopic and deeply personal whole, which, thanks to her fellow musicians, takes on a more jazz-infused and improvisational character focusing on groove, spaciousness, spontaneity, contrasts, and storytelling.

Her debut album, Smultronstället, was released digitally and on vinyl in November 2024. The title, a Swedish expression, refers to a cherished, personal, and perhaps slightly secret place — somewhere you always love to (re)visit. It perfectly captures the essence of reginamandness: the adventure and search for a sense of home, both musically and geographically.
